Exploring Options for Yourself or Your Loved One: Ranging from Home-Based Support to Senior Living Communities
This is a conversation that many of us don‘t want to have. And yet one day you or a loved one may face these decisions. It‘s important to be prepared for what may lie ahead, to understand options, and to have thought through the choices you might one day need to make.
Come learn about:
- When a new level of care may be needed
- In home care options, beyond Village support
- Senior living community options
- The difference between board and care, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities
An educational presentation by Ann Blick-Hamer, Geriatric Social Worker, will be followed by time for questions for conversation with fellow Villagers. If the group would like to explore any of the topics presented in more depth, or other related topics, we will bring knowledgeable speakers in the future and open up more space for Village conversation.

Please join your fellow Villagers on a stroll exploring the scenic trails of Bair Island! This level walk of about 1.5 miles is wheelchair accessible and provides the opportunity to
catch the breeze, the winter birds and some boats. It is a helpful to bring binoculars to enjoy the sights!
