Support Our Mission Through a Donor-Advised Fund
What Is a Donor-Advised Fund?
A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is like a charitable savings account that makes giving easier and more tax-efficient. Here's how it works:
You contribute money, stocks, or other assets to a fund managed by a financial institution or foundation. You receive an immediate tax deduction for your contribution, and the funds can grow tax-free over time. Then, whenever you're ready, you can recommend which charities should receive grants from your fund—including Villages of San Mateo County.
Why Donors Choose DAFs
Many people use donor-advised funds to:
-
Simplify their charitable giving in one convenient account
-
Support multiple organizations from a single fund
-
Plan their charitable legacy over time
-
Manage the timing of a charitable deduction
-
Reduce their tax burden if income is higher than normal
Already Have a DAF?
We would be honored if you'd consider including Villages of San Mateo County in your charitable distributions. Your support helps older adults in our community live independently, stay connected, and thrive in their own homes.
